Akhil A.R. has always been driven by a simple yet powerful curiosity about how things work. His journey began in the world of wires and circuits, earning a degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering. An early internship at the Kerala State Electricity Board gave him his first real taste of massive, complex systems. But while hardware laid his foundation, it was the limitless, creative potential of software that truly captured his imagination.

Stepping into the IT world, Akhil cut his teeth at Tech Mahindra, working as a Google Translation Software Engineer. This was his first deep dive into building large-scale digital solutions. Hungry to learn more, he moved on to Juniper Networks, spending three years crafting software and supporting global giants like Lenovo. Here, he learned a critical lesson: the best technology doesn’t just run smoothly; it solves real, everyday business problems. Seeking a broader horizon, Akhil took his talents to Dubai, joining the GMG Group to work as a Full-Stack Developer supporting the iconic Nike brand. This international leap opened his eyes to the fast-paced, high-stakes digital economy of the Middle East. Yet, even while building software for global heavyweights, technology remained a deeply personal passion rather than just a day job. In his off-hours, Akhil was quietly building an impressive portfolio of his own. He designed over twenty-five custom websites and applications for businesses across India and the GCC, working hand-in-hand with everyday entrepreneurs.

While working on these passion projects, Akhil noticed a heartbreaking trend. Countless small businesses were sitting on brilliant ideas, but they were locked out of the digital world because professional software was simply too expensive, incredibly complicated, and intimidating. He realized that technology should act as an enabler to lift people up, not a barrier to keep them out.

Driven by this conviction, he founded Horitio.

Operating from India with a truly global vision, Horitio was born to level the playing field. The goal isn’t simply to code websites or launch apps; it is to sit down with a founder, understand their struggles, and solve them using smart design, automation, and artificial intelligence—all without the excessive price tag. Knowing that a great tech partner needs to understand business just as well as code, Akhil also pushed his own boundaries. He completed advanced academic programs in business strategy, artificial intelligence, and entrepreneurship, beautifully merging the analytical mind of an engineer with the strategic heart of a founder.

Today, Akhil has evolved from writing lines of code to rewriting the futures of small businesses. Through Horitio, he champions startups and organizations from the vibrant streets of Kerala to the towering skylines of Dubai.

His ultimate mission is wonderfully simple: he doesn't just build software; he helps people build their businesses. Akhil firmly believes that a local shop with a bold idea deserves the exact same digital power as a global enterprise, ensuring that no great dream is ever left on the table simply because the technology felt out of reach.
